Civil War Victory at Mobile Bay!

We've been waiting for this day for months now and August 5^th finally arrived! Our patience and hard work definitely paid off yesterday in our victory. As we started to creep into the bay, I hadn't noticed the bay was heavily mined with torpedoes until after I ordered my fleet to charge. Silly me, I know. My USS Tecumseh struck a mine and sank and that's when I realized my fleets beginning to pull back!

 I screamed down below “What's the trouble?” and all I heard back was “TORPEDOES!” I couldn't believe I spit the words out but I ordered back “Damn the Torpedoes! Full speed ahead Drayton!” and there I led my fleet in charging and we didn't get touched! After we entered with our Union ships in the bay the fort just surrendered and we began to do our job. I still can't believe my rallying cry, I feel so proud!
